


The tender document says the 2018 ACT Housing Strategy provides a roadmap for the ACT for the next decade and a key element is a commitment to strengthening social housing assistance. Welfare groups including the ACT Council of Social Services say there is a shortfall of 3000 affordable dwellings in the ACT and has been calling on the Government to do more to alleviate the situation including providing additional land for affordable housing and boosting the supply of social housing from non-government providers. Marlene graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development 2019 Region 3 Multi-Day Training Program. Her statewide roles include serving on the Association County Commissioners of Georgia’s Policy Council as 2022 chair of the Health and Human Services Policy Committee and as a member of the Economic Development and Transportation Policy and General County Government Policy committees. On a national level, Marlene previously served as 2021 vice chair and now serves as 2022 chair of the National Association of Counties' Transit/Rail Subcommittee of the Transportation Steering Committee and as a member of both the Large Urban Counties Caucus Steering committee and the International Economic Development Task Force. District 4 covers Lawrenceville, Buford, and Rest Haven as well as parts of Braselton and Sugar Hill. Fosque was first elected to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners District 4 seat in November 2018.
